The wicked preacher could not make up his mind whether he would prepare for his sermon. He had been busy for many weeks and so comes to church unprepared for his sermon. He has observed that the congregation was discontented with his slackness so he kept preaching the message entitled “love one another”. He just simply wanted the congregation to love and understand him despite his slackness.
1 Cor 13:4-7
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. NKJV
Everything in love favors me except when I do wrong things because it says in verse 6 that love is displeased with wrong things. So, forcing people to love me even when I do the wrong things is a wrong thing.
